Rounded Corners Quilt Tutorial: Bias Binding

To attach our binding to our rounded corners quilt smoothly, we need to make bias binding. Bias binding is made from fabric cut on the diagonal, giving it a stretch that allows it to conform around corners easily. Using regular binding, which isn’t stretchy, can lead to puckering and a less neat finish.

Rounded Corners Quilt Tutorial: Attaching the Binding

First, we attach the bias binding to the quilt, which is made easy by its flexibility. Next, we use a straightforward, no-fuss method to join the binding ends: we create a small sleeve to tuck one end into neatly. Many find this method much easier than the traditional method of joining the ends on the diagonal.
