The Pros and Cons
In my opinion, the Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmers offer several advantages. They allow you to cut 11 different sizes of Half Square Triangles, eliminating the need to purchase various-sized square rulers. Even if you already have those rulers, these trimmers save time by requiring you to trim only two sides of the Half Square Triangles. If you typically use one ruler to cut your Half Square Triangles, these trimmers can significantly speed up your process.
However, one potential drawback is accuracy. Personally, I’ve found that I need to align the dashed line on the trimmer just above my stitched line to achieve the perfect size. This might be specific to my trimmers, but it’s something to be aware of. I recommend testing with a few sample Half Square Triangles to ensure you’re cutting them to the correct size. I would also write a note on your instructions with what worked for you.
