It’s time for the fourth Mystery Block of the Month 2023 reveal, and we’re going to make a Log Cabin Quilt Block! Prepare your sewing machine and fabric because it’s time to create this month’s block!

The Log Cabin Quilt Block is a classic design that has been used in quilting for centuries. It consists of a center square of fabric with strips of fabric sewn around it in a spiral pattern. It’s named after log cabin homes and can be arranged in many different ways to create unique quilt designs.
In the summer of 2021 members of Quilt Club did a Log Cabin Block Swap which was a lot of fun! The Log Cabin Block was made a little differently, you can see how we made the block HERE, and you can see a recap of the block swap HERE.

About the Mystery Block of the Month
The Log Cabin Quilt Block is the fourth block in the Mystery Block of the Month 2023 series, find out more HERE.
The Mystery Block of the Month is a small achievable project each month, once we have completed all 12 blocks we will use them to make a quilt top. The trick is making your block within the month so it stays a stress-free and fun quilting project.
If you are following along on the Mystery Block of the Month and would like to have the same fabric placement as me for all your blocks, check out this video HERE. You will find a copy of the Labels in the Pattern Library HERE.
