I am super excited that this month we will be doing two blocks for the Mystery Block of the Month 2022 – the Friendship Star Quilt Block and the Shoo Fly Quilt Block! I asked and got an overwhelming response about finishing the blocks before Christmas and it just so happened to work out that this month’s block was perfect to do as two.

I love how quick and easy these two blocks are to make together at the same time! The Friendship Star Quilt Block and Shoo Fly Quilt Block are made up of exactly the same pieces, we just sew them together in a different order. We will make them both together, making these two blocks probably the quickest two blocks you will ever make!

I’m loving that the Mystery Block of the Month is a small achievable project each month, that will become our most detailed quilt so far! The trick is making your block within the month so it stays a stress-free and fun quilting project.

This tutorial is free and everything you need to know to make The Friendship Star Quilt Block and Shoo Fly Quilt Bloc is listed here, including the link to my free YouTube tutorial.
A PDF pattern with full printable instructions is available to purchase on my Etsy Store at a nominal fee.
