Easy Hugs and Kisses Self Binding Baby Quilt Tutorial

The Hugs and Kisses Baby Quilt is super quick and easy to make and perfect to donate – hint hint! It is quick to make because the pattern is super simple, plus we will be doing the Self Binding Technique, where we do the backing and binding for the quilt in one go.

I originally designed this quilt for my donation quilt drive for National Foster Care Month in May 2022, and I’m excited to continue this event in 2023. If you’d like to learn more about how you can donate a quilt to children in foster care click HERE.

The Hugs and Kisses Baby Quilt will measure approximately 34″ x34″.

TO MAKE THE HUGS AND KISSES BABY QUILT YOU WILL NEED

FAT QUARTERS

4 x Fat Quarters

PLUS

1¼ yard of fabric for backing

36” x 36” piece of batting

CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS

With EACH of the Fat Quarters cut:

(4) x 18″ x 18”

Note: Fat Quarters should be 18″ x 21″ but some fall short, in this case, cut them all the smallest size you have i.e. 17½” x 17½”
