Mystery Block 1 – Dream Weaver Block

Dream Weaver Block

Hey everyone, I am so excited to reveal the first block we will be doing as part of the Mystery Block of the Month 2022 – the Dream Weaver Block!

The Dream Weaver Block is a really simple block to make, the tricky part is just making sure you sew the pieces together in the right order, which I will show you exactly how to do in my step-by-step tutorial.

This tutorial is free and everything you need to know to make the Dream Weaver Block is listed here, including the link to my free YouTube tutorial.

A PDF pattern with full printable instructions is available to purchase on my Etsy Store at a nominal fee.

I’m very excited to follow along for the mystery block of the month. I’m already looking forward to next month.

Hi Janet, I really think it’s a personal choice. I will use 8 different fabrics, so it will be a mix of the same fabrics used in different blocks, but all fabrics won’t be in every block (I hope that makes sense). It would also be fun to just use scrap fabric and make them all different.

That was fun. Are all blocks going to be the same โ€˜Dream Weaverโ€™ pattern? With a mixture of the same 8 fabrics? I enjoy your videos so much, very simply explained and easy to follow. I have referred several friends to your you tube videos!

Hi Donna, you can really use whatever fabric you would like. I am using 8 different fabrics that will be used to make all 12 blocks. Not every fabric will be in every block. I hope that makes sense ๐Ÿ™‚

This was fun! I want to know more about how to press the seams correctly, I usually press towards dark and if it’s not in the directions I can get confused.

Late getting started. Just had back surgery and need something to distract me from the pain. This looks like it’s just what I need.

Oh no Kathleen, I hope you have a speedy recovery. My husband has had two spinal surgeries, so I know how hard that can be. These blocks are easy and quick to make. It will be a perfect project for you โ˜บ๏ธ
