If you have a mom that loves quilting I have put together a few ideas that I think she would love to receive this Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 9!
All gift ideas that I suggest are items I personally love and recommend – I wouldn’t have it any other way!
So you can trust that I have put a lot of thought into the following list of recommendations and I feel you can’t go wrong with picking one or two items from this list below for your mom this Mother’s Day.
GIFT IDEAS UNDER $25
Fons and Porter Quilting Gloves
These gloves are a great affordable gift for mom, and if she hasn’t got a pair yet I am sure she would love to give them a try next time she is quilting.
Clover Magnetic Pin Caddy
The Clover Magnetic Pin Caddy is absolutely one of my favorite tools I have ever bought! If your mom hasn’t got one of these, trust me, she will love it!
Gingher Stork Embroidery Scissors
These cute little scissors are a staple for all quilters, and even if mom already has a pair, a second pair is always handy.Personalized Woven Labels
If you want to get something super thoughtful, then personalized woven labels for the quilts your mom makes is it! Order now, since they take up to 10 days to ship.
GIFT IDEAS UNDER $50
Oliso Mini Project Iron
I really felt that the Oliso Mini Project Iron would make the perfect Mothers Day gift, however one catch, I had never tried one out. I contacted Oliso and they very kindly sent me one to try and I have to say, I am in love. Not only is it so cute, but it also reduces real estate space on your work surface, and works just as well as a regular iron. I am impressed and I think your Mom would love one too. #olisoconnects
June Taylor Desktop Ironing Board
A desktop ironing board is really a nice to have item when your quilting, but although it’s a nice to have, they really do make your quilting life a little easier and mom will thank you for it!
Precut Fabric
Fabric is a given! Your mom will love some fabric to add to her stash so she is ready for all her upcoming projects. These are a couple of options I personally think your mum will love.
GIFT IDEAS OVER $100
Aurifil Thread Pastel Collection
This Aurifil Thread Collection is the ultimate top quality thread you can buy for quilting. The deluxe set will give mom a gorgeous collection of threads to use for all her upcoming projects.
Quilting Sewing Machine
If your mom is new to quilting the chances are she doesn’t have a quilting sewing machine. Quilting Sewing machines have a lot of extra features to help make your life easier when you are quilting, and the main one being a large throat space, giving you extra space to work within. If you think you want to treat your mom to a new machine, I honestly think this is something you need to buy with your mom at a recommended dealer. A dealer will be able to recommend the best machine and also provide support and some even give free lessons to get you started. But if you insist on a surprise the one pictured below would be a great choice.
Joann’s Gift Card
If you aren’t convinced your mom would be thrilled with any of my suggestions, what about a Joann’s Gift Card? Joann’s have a very good online shop, so no matter where mom is located in the US she will be able to make great use of a gift card.
Good luck with your gift buying! To all the moms reading this, wherever you are in the world Happy Mothers Day!
Thanks,
