PREPARE | Gather your tools and supplies | |
TASK: SEWING BLOCKS TOGETHER | Take column 1 | |
Starting with the first pinned pieces, remove the pin, line up the beginning, end and edges of the blocks. Pin together. Sew | ||
Repeat until you have sewn all blocks together in column 1 | ||
Repeat for all your columns | ||
TASK: PRESSING | Set all seams by pressing with your iron | |
Press seams towards the straight strip | ||
TASK: NESTING YOUR SEAMS | Pin columns 1 & 2 together, paying extra attention to where the seams meet and nesting them together | |
Sew columns 1 & 2 together | ||
Check you are happy with where all your seams meet, if you are not happy unpick your stitches and start again | ||
Repeat until all your columns are sewn together in the correct order | ||
TASK: PRESSING YOUR QUILT TOP | Set seams by pressing with your iron | |
Press seams to the side that works best for you | ||
Cut loose threads carefully that are on the right side of your quilt top |
