PREPARE | Gather your tools and supplies | |
TASK: PREPARE FABRIC OFF THE BOLT | Iron your fabric | |
Cut 2½” strips | ||
Iron out the manufacturers fold in all your strips | ||
TASK: PREPARE JELLY ROLLS | Iron out the manufacturers fold in all your strips | |
Iron kinked beginnings and ends, and anywhere else that may need it | ||
TASK: GROUP YOUR FABRIC | Group your fabric into groups of four | |
Carefully fold your fabrics to prepare to sew together | ||
TASK: SEW TOGETHER | Carefully unfold a group of four 2½” strips | |
Attach a “Place number holder” on it with the arrow facing down onto your first strip | ||
Take the second strip and pin together, sew all the way along | ||
Set your stitches, finger press the seam up, press the seam | ||
Take your next strip, pin and sew from the bottom | ||
Repeat these steps until all four strips are sewn together, remembering to alternate the direction that you sew | ||
Repeat for all groups of four 2½” strips |
